Foreclosure Help

If you are in foreclosure or at risk of default, contact the following:

Loan Modification Help

If you want a loan modification or to refinance under the national mortgage settlement, contact your servicer:

  •  Ally/GMAC: 800-766-4622
  • Bank of America: 877-488-7814 (Available M-F 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET)
  • Citi: 866-272-4749

Complaints Help

If you have a complaint about how your servicer is treating you, contact the following:

Settlement Compensation Help

The Settlement Administrator has made payments to most eligible borrowers. The Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight is not the Settlement Administrator and does not handle or oversee direct payments to consumers within the settlement. If you have questions about your eligibility or compensation under the settlement, please call the Settlement Administrator toll-free at 1-866-430-8358.

Scam Help

If you have been scammed by a foreclosure rescuer or debt relief agency, contact the Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection at 800-332-8529 or your state Attorney General’s Office at 207-626-8800.

Tenant Help
