Help in the State of Colorado

Foreclosure Help

If you are in foreclosure or at risk of default, contact the Colorado Foreclosure Hotline: 877-601-HOPE (4673) or www.coloradoforeclosurehotline.org.

  • The Hotline will be able to direct you to a FREE service that may help you save your home.
  • The Hotline refers you to HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselors in your area.
  • This service is completely FREE. Four out of five homeowners who meet with a counselor are able to avoid foreclosure. Call today 877-601-4673.

Beware of companies who claim to be able to save your homes. For more information about foreclosure rescue and loan modification scams please visit the Colorado Attorney General’s website:  http://www.coloradoattorneygeneral.gov/departments/consumer_protection/mortgage_fraud_information_center.

Loan Modification Help

If you want a loan modification or refinance under the national mortgage settlement, contact your servicer:

  • Ally/GMAC: 800-766-4622
  • Bank of America: 877-488-7814 (Available M-F 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. MT and Saturdays 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. MT)
  • Citi: 866-272-4749
  • JPMorgan Chase: 866-372-6901
  • Wells Fargo: 800-288-3212 (Available M-F 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. MT)

If you want a loan modification or refinance and your servicer was not one of the five under the consent judgment, you should contact your servicer anyway. Here is a list of servicer contact information: www.makinghomeaffordable.gov/get-answers/pages/get-answers-how-contact-mortgage-company.aspx
