Foreclosure Help

If you are in foreclosure or at risk of default, contact the following:

• Your state’s toll free foreclosure hotline: 1-800-SAFENET (723-3638)

• Legal Aid: 1-800-520-5292

• The national HOPE Hotline: 1-888-995-HOPE (4673)

• Your mortgage servicer. For a list of servicers and their contact information visit www.makinghomeaffordable.gov

• A HUD-approved housing counselor. Locate a counselor in Oregon.

Loan Modification Help

If you want a loan modification or refinance under the national mortgage settlement, contact your servicer:

• Ally/GMAC: 800-766-4622

• Bank of America: 877-488-7814 (Available M-F 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. PT and Saturdays 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. PT)

• Citi: 866-272-4749

• JPMorgan Chase: 866-372-6901

• Wells Fargo: 800-288-3212 (Available M-F 5 a.m. – 5 p.m. PT)

If you want a loan modification or refinance, and your servicer was not one of the five under the consent judgment, you should contact your servicer anyway. For a list of servicers and their contact information visit www.makinghomeaffordable.gov

Complaints Help

If you have a complaint about how your servicer is treating you, contact the following:

Settlement Compensation Help

The Settlement Administrator has made payments to most eligible borrowers. The Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight is not the Settlement Administrator and does not handle or oversee direct payments to consumers within the settlement. If you have questions about your eligibility or compensation under the settlement, please call the Settlement Administrator toll-free at 1-866-430-8358.

Scam Help

If you have been scammed by a foreclosure rescue operator or a debt relief organization, contact the Oregon Attorney General’s office:  1-877-877-9392.

Tenant Help

If you are a tenant who lives in a residence that was foreclosed on, contact Legal Aid at 1-800-520-5292.

Military Help

If you are a service member experiencing mortgage trouble, contact Military OneSource at 1-800-342-9647.

State Information on Settlement

If you need a lawyer, make sure the lawyer is licensed in Oregon. Contact the Oregon State Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service at 1-800-452-7636.
