Loan Modification Help

If you want a loan modification or refinance under the national mortgage settlement, contact your servicer:

If you want a loan modification or refinance and your mortgage servicer was not one of the five under the consent judgment, you should contact your servicer anyway. Settlement Compensation Help

The Settlement Administrator has made payments to most eligible borrowers. The Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight is not the Settlement Administrator and does not handle or oversee direct payments to consumers within the settlement. If you have questions about your eligibility or compensation under the settlement, please call the Settlement Administrator toll-free at 1-866-430-8358.

Scam Help

If you have been scammed by a foreclosure rescue operator or a debt relief organization, contact the Office of the Attorney General, Consumer Protection Unit at 401-274-4400 or contactus@riag.ri.gov.

Tenant Help

If you are a tenant who lives in a residence that was foreclosed upon, you can contact Rhode Island Legal Services at 800-662-5034.
